I learned the following from some LinkedIn Learning courses.
The Golden Rule is a fundamental ethical principle that states one should treat others as one would like to be treated. It is often expressed as "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," and is found in various religious and philosophical traditions, including Christianity. This principle emphasizes reciprocity and respect in human interactions, serving as a guideline for moral conduct across cultures.
The Platinum Rule is a principle that suggests you should treat others the way they want to be treated, rather than how you would like to be treated yourself. This concept emphasizes empathy and understanding in interpersonal relationships, encouraging individuals to consider the preferences and feelings of others.
I learned the following from my mother.
己所欲,施於人 (Do to others as you would others do to you.)
己所不欲, 勿施於人 (Do not do to others as you would others not do to you.)
將心比心 (Tried to understand one’s thinking use his/her perception.)
They are very similar to the Golden Rule and Platinum Rule.
Let’s create a better world/business soon (we hope).
